Rental Terms Policy

General Terms and Condition of your car rental.

Age Requirement

Minimum 23 years old

Drivers License

The driver must have a valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months. Drivers with a license issued outside the EU must also present an International Driver’s Permit.

Traffic Fines and Administrative Sanctions

Any tickets or administrative penalties resulting from violations of Greek traffic laws during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter.

Fuel

Fuel is to be paid for by the renter, who is required to return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at the time of pickup.

Rental Length

The minimum rental period is one day.

Taxes

All rates include a 24% VAT.

Delivery and Collection

Free delivery and collection are available to hotels, ports, and airports.

Changes to Reservations

1. Astir Car rental allows you to make changes to your reservation by submitting a written request via email or our website’s contact form.

2. No modification administration fee will be charged for changes made in the manner described above.

3. Any changes made will result in a recalculation of the booking based on availability and current prices at the time of the change. The adjusted price may be higher or lower than the original booking. This applies to changes to:

> Pickup date and time

> Drop-off date and time

> Vehicle group

> Type of insurance

Cancellation Policy

We wish to inform you that, in the event of a guest’s cancellation or a guest’s failure to show up, the deposit paid will be non-refundable.

A guest will be considered a “No-Show” if they do not collect their vehicle within two hours of the scheduled pick-up time and have not communicated with the Astir Rent a Car office in advance.

For Prepaid Rates Only

Astir car rental applies cancellation and no-show/lost rental charges to all prepaid rates.

Changes at Time of Pickup

If you wish to rent a larger vehicle or extend the rental period at the time of pickup, you may do so, depending on availability. Additional charges will apply for the specific vehicle and rental period at the time of pickup.

No Shows/Lost Rentals: Prepaid Reservations (Pay Online)

If you fail to cancel your reservation before the pickup time and do not collect the vehicle on the scheduled pickup date, or if you do not comply with the rental terms, we reserve the right to apply a No Show/Lost Rental Charge. This charge covers our administrative costs and the loss of rental income due to the vehicle being reserved for your use. The charge will be equivalent to the cost of two rental days, based on the rates at the time of the original booking.

Early Return

Please note that no refunds will be issued if you return the vehicle earlier than the agreed-upon rental period.

Late Return Charge

We reserve the right to apply a Late Return Charge to cover the costs incurred until the next scheduled booking.

Insurance Policy

CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance is available upon request for all our vehicles. It is optional and depends from the car type. This insurance is valid only if traffic laws have not been violated.

• CDW can be requested at the time of pickup or directly through our online booking platform.
• Please note that damages to the underside of the vehicle, wheels, and tires are not covered by any insurance.

Insurance Exclusions

The following are not covered by insurance:

• Any damage to the interior, glass, or underneath the vehicle.
• Damages caused by the driver while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• If the person driving the vehicle is not listed on the Rental Agreement.
• If the renter fails to secure the vehicle by locking it properly.
• If the vehicle is parked illegally.
• Damages caused by driving on unsuitable or off-road terrain.
